I had the amazing chance to talk to the photographer Marion Brickner. She really got me pumped about the bonobo. It fascinated me to learn how they don’t kill their kids If we, as humans, could adopt this quality it would a much better world.
I think that bonobos are a special animal on earth don’t you.Ithink that becaus they can think just like a human, some can even talk like one. So
I think we should take care of them the same way that we take care of our
pets!
THATS WHAT I THINK ABOUT BONOBOS!
I would really like to prevent bonobo extinction. I am in second grade. Soon, I will be getting a $100 prize from a race I won. I want to donate part of it to help the bonobos. I chose them for a school project and I would really like to help.
Hi Bonobo Helper! How exciting that you’ve won a race and $100! There’s many ways you can help Bonobos. One of our favorite bonobo activists is James Brooks who is a young person himself. He has a great website called ApeAware that has a list of things you can do to help http://www.apeaware.org/help.html. Also, there is another fantastic website, also started by a young person, Haley. Her site is called KidsSaveApes http://kidssaveapes.webs.com/. Finally, you can go to the Bonobo Conservation Initiative’s website and adopt a bonobo! http://www.bonobo.org/adopt-a-bonobo/
Whatever you do, congratulations on being a caring person who wants to make a change – it’s people like you that make a difference. And please let us know what path you choose – we highlight amazing young people on this site all the time and would love to hear more about you!
